MAINTENANCE TECH
Maddie
Â
Maddie grew up gardening with her Grandma in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, seeding what would become a passion for fine gardening from a young age.
Â
While she was in school at MTSU, she took on her first nursery job at Martin’s Home & Garden, located in Murfreesboro, TN, where she grew her knowledge in annuals, and fell in love with the culture of horticulture! Upon graduating, Maddie worked in other fields of interest, including health foods and non-profit fundraising, but always found herself yearning to get back to working with plants again.
Â
In recent years, since her move back to TN, Maddie worked a season at Gardens of Babylon, and, as a horticulturist at The Opryland Hotel, where she tended to tropicals in the garden conservatory for over two years.Â
Â
You may hear her singing a tune while she prunes, as Maddie is a mixed media artist in her off time! She makes music, is a photographer, and loves to write. She also loves spending time with her kitties, Talk Talk and Zo.
